From the supplier: The California case of Dix v. Beretta U.S.A. Corp. pits the parents of a 15-year-old accidentally killed by a handgun against the gun maker. The boy's friend thought his father's gun was unloaded and unintentionally shot and killed him. The parents claimed defective design of the gun because it did not have a safety-locking mechanism to prevent unauthorized users from firing it. Attorney Nancy Hersh compares the suit to lawsuits against tobacco manufacturers.
